Area Resident

This curious little chipmunk wasn't afraid of us at all.
He makes his home on the highest point in the Black Hills, Harney Peak : elevation 7,242 ft.

Crazy Horse Monument

I didn't see who painted this painting in the Crazy Horse Museum,
but the artist spoke volumes without writing a word.

No Digging

While traveling west through South Dakota on our way to the Black Hills, I spotted this church in the distance.
It sits in a tiny town in the middle of no where (literally), on the
 Standing Rock Indian Reservation.
As we drove over the cattle-guard into the town, there was a sign that said
 "Digging for Indian Artifacts Prohibited".
Seriously! Would people would actually do that!
I love this picture. It reminds me of what my Lord Jesus Christ did for me and you
 on the hill of Golgotha.
We took the pictures and drove on.......... the Black Hills calling us in the distance.

I wonder what he would say to the people of this country now.

Mt. Rushmore

We just got home from a trip to South Dakota for my brothers 70th birthday celebration. We decided to take a swing by the Black Hills before coming home.
Ray asked me,"If they were to put another president up there, who do you think it should be?"
My answer was JFK.
What's your opinion?
