What State is This

We just got home from a trip to see my family in South Dakota. 
On the way there, I took a picture of one of the states we went through.... for one of our fellow photo bloggers. She loves this country, let's see if she notices ! 
Can YOU guess what state it is ?

    No. I have no chance of guessing this one! Great photo though. The hills are very bare, treeless, is this normal for this area?

    Oh my goodness!! I have chill bumps! That landscape still draws me!! Thank you! I've not been on blogger much, so thanks for bringing it to my attention! Nothing beats a view of the Nebraska Sandhills!
